Day 1:

Start your day a little early so that you can get through easily and have more time on your hands. You can begin with the Little Mermaid Statue, which was crafted by Edvard Eriksen in 1913. This statue is based on fairy tales and it is a major tourist attraction since it’s unveiling. After staying there for some time, you can then move on to Botanical Gardens of Copenhagen which covers almost 10 hectares. Spend some time in this garden of heaven as it is totally worth it. It is known for its extensive complex of historical glasshouses that are almost 150 years old. From there, you can easily visit Geological Museum which is also a part of Copenhagen Botanical Gardens.

You can then visit Zoological Museum which is also nearby in the University of Copenhagen. This place can give extraordinary life experiences. Conclude your day 1 by entering the world of astronomy and night sky at Tycho Brahe Planetarium. It is Denmark’s largest dome theater and you will definitely enjoy the time of your life.

Day 2:

If you think day 1 was the cream of Copenhagen’s tourism, then you have no idea of what day 2 will bring you. Remember seeing those beautiful and simple colorful houses on the side of a river in a brochure before? Well, this is where you can start your day 2 by visiting Nyhavn. Nyhavn is one of the most iconic places in Copenhagen. It is a 17th-century waterfront, canal and entertainment place. A sunny day, mixed with a stunning view of this canal is all you will need to remember this trip for your lifetime. It is difficult to move from this amazing place to take some of your time here to absorb the excitement and take some photos. After that move on some underground adventure at Christiansborg Palace to see some ruins. Ruins under Christiansborg Palace are almost a millennia-old and they possess a great deal of history beyond your imagination.

After that, National Aquarium of Copenhagen is a fine place to go and see some marine life. It is the largest aquarium in Northern Europe and you can see more than 450 species of marine animals. Afterward, you can come upon Oresund Bridge that connects Denmark with Sweden over the Oresund Strait. It is approximately 16 kilometers long and providesa magnificent view at sunset. End your day with a walk in Tivoli Gardens and let everything you have experienced in this amazing day sink in.

Day 3:

You can start your day 3 with Denmark’s science and technology museum Experimentarium. Get your hands on modern science and technology at this state of the art place. Follow it with Post and Tele Museum visit along with Royal Reception rooms of Queen and Prince Consort.

After that, you can lay your eyes on Denmark’s palatial complex in Hillerod, the Frederiksborg Palace. This magnificent palace was built for the King and the royal family of Denmark. Complete your day with some shopping for your loved ones at Stroget Street.

Day 4:

Further your Danish experience by visiting Christiania. Freetown of Christiania is a self-proclaimed, autonomous district where 850 – 1000 people live. Visiting this place is a completely different experience. Follow it up with Rosenborg Castle, Technology and Maritime Museum, Malmo City Hall and Lilla Torg. You can further enjoy some nightlife to recharge yourself for the last day ahead.

Day 5:

Day 5 can bring you some places that should be visited in the end as they are quite scenic. It will help you to remember the Danish heritage, so you can relive the Viking experience over and over again in your memory. The first place will be Kronborg Castle. This place offers a setting for William Shakespeare’s Novel Hamlet. It has a unique architecture and you will spend your time admiring its beauty. Kronborg is one of the most significant Renaissance castles in Northern Europe. Follow it up with Louisiana Museum of Modern Art and open-air museum. Always keep the last place in your itinerary closer to your hotel as you can checkout and head home the same day. It will also help you to save some time and money.
